NRN Australia’s Third National Conference will be held in Melbourne on Saturday, 11th
of July 2009. NRN Australia has come a long way since its inception 4 years ago and
is now preparing to become a truly National organization by bringing Non Resident
Nepali living in different parts of Australia together.
Apart from working for it’s rights, it is equally important for NRNs living in different
parts of the world to realize and accept collective responsibility to keep it’s identity
alive. With that view in mind, the theme for this year’s conference is chosen as ‘My
Heritage. My Pride.’
Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on
to future generations. We all take a great deal of pride in our national and cultural
heritage. Hence every NRN has a tremendous responsibility to keep our heritage
alive. This conference will create a platform for NRNs in Australia to come together
and share ideas and be united in our attempt to celebrate our heritage and establish
meaningful relation with the land of our origin, Nepal.
